About Us

      Kelsey and Kimberly Jackson are a husband and wife team that own and operate three local restaurants; Kelsey & Kim’s Soul Food & BBQ in Pleasantville, Kelsey & Kim’s Southern Café and just recently Kelsey’s,  in Atlantic City.  Both are native to the area, Kelsey a graduate of Pleasantville High School and Kim a graduated of Absegami High School.  The couples married in June of 1992 and have four children.

     During Kelsey’s High School years, he worked in a series of local restaurants with humble beginnings, first as a dishwasher then as a busboy before being given the opportunity to master the art of cooking in the Casino Industry.   Kelsey quickly moved up the ranks from apprentice cook, to relief cook.  He later attended Atlantic Cape Community College’s Culinary Program.
     Kimberly Jackson also attended ACCC where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Business and a certificate in Baking.  Kim worked for over 15 years as an assistant administer of Laborers Local #415 prior to becoming an entrepreneur. 

     The couple credits their success to hard work, determination and strong family values.  They are most proud of their children’s academic success; Klassic an honors graduate of Hampton State University, Kareema a graduate of Winston Salam State University, Kelsey Jr. a culinary student of Atlantic Cape Community College and KaShawn a junior at North Carolina A&T State University.

     The Jacksons believe in giving back to the community and have a strong dedication to supporting the efforts of children.  They are proud supporters of Pleasantville PAL, Atlantic City PAL, Atlantic City Viking, Youth Advocate Programs, Mays Landing PAL, Pleasantville Babe Ruth Little League, Pleasantville Jokers, Delta Sigma Phi Sorority Tiny Tots, Hamilton Memorial Freedom School and many other youth based organizations.
